NYC Studio

 

  • Located in Manhattan
  • Studio apartment with separate galley kitchen, office space, walk-in closet, and   outdoor space
  • Full renovation, top to bottom. Only the bathtub remained original.
  • Style: clean lines, modern, neutral colors using browns and greys on white
  • 6-month project, first renovation
  • Sold at 24% above purchase price in under 2 years

Renovations

 

  • Overall: replaced flooring with engineered wood, increased all openings to ceiling height, added ceiling-height closet doors, upgraded lighting fixtures, converted window into a sliding glass door to the terrace, added a stainless steel brick wall feature
  • Kitchen: removed steam heater, added open shelving, changed to a 5-burner stove, upgraded to a french door refrigerator, installed slow-closing cabinetry
  • Bathroom: moved door, converted linen closet area into a walk-in closet, changed floor and tub wall to slate tiles, installed European-style bath door and toilet
  • Office: added built-in desk and shelves
